When is it taking place?
The Registration and Merchandise collection desks will open on Friday 19th September at 09:00 am, followed by quartet and chorus competitions over the next two days, concluding with a closing lunch on Sunday September 21st. See details of the programme in the PROGRAMME menu
 
Where is the venue?
The James Hay Theatre is part of the Christchurch Town Hall and is located at 
86 Kilmore Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8013

Who can compete?

This is the National Convention of Barbershop Harmony New Zealand, and is open to affiliated choruses and quartets, whether male, female or mixed.
 
How much will it cost and how do we pay
Refer to the Register for Convention page.  
 
Is the cost of the Saturday Show included in registration?
Yes, if you are a BHNZ member registered for convention, or you have purchased the "Friends and Family" package, which includes the Saturday evening show, plus admission to the convention opening ceremony and all contest sessions. Cost $55.

After 17 August, Saturday evening show tickets can be purchased via Humanitix.
 Cost $35

Are the contest sessions open to audiences?
Yes, both performers and the public can see you perform. Purchasing the "Friends and Family" package includes admission to all all contest sessions. the Saturday evening show, plus admission to the convention opening ceremony. Cost $55.

After 17 August, contest session admission tickets can be purchased via Humanitix. Cost $15 for all Quartet contests, plus $15 for the Chorus contest.


Is the Sunday lunch included in registration?
No, the Sunday lunch is an optional extra, when you can purchase during registration, or later via Sunday Lunch. Cost $45.
